Brick
More brick work. I guess they will go up as high as they can with the front of the house until they hit the missing window. Hopefully it will be in soon. |
Opening Closed
The temporary door that the framing crew made has been closed up. You now have to actually use the real door from the garage to the house (which is to the right out of the picture.) |
Electrical
Those light blubs are going to be real fun to change! |
Electrical
The stair lights are installed. They have grills on the front that direct the light down at the steps. |
Dining Room Light
The electrician re-positioned the dining room light like we asked him to so it is centered in the large doorway from the foyer. |
Soffit
The carpenter has extended the soffit in the master bath finally and the electrician has re-positioned the can lights. |
Chase
They cut out the joist that was crossing the chase. |
Chase
Here is a shot from below of the chase. You can see how they supported the cut joist. |
Interior Windows
The carpenter has framed in the interior windows in bedroom 4. This is a view from inside the bedroom. |
Interior Windows
This is a view from the great room. There could only be two windows in this wall because of the chase and the door has to open onto this wall. But they will look centered from the great room side. |

Soffits
I think the soffit crew is competely done now. I tried to get a shot of the second floor soffits from inside the house. It had just rained and I didn't want to go outside in the mud. I am getting tired of mud! |
Flashing
I noticed the flashing for the roof. Glad to see it is aluminum and not galvanized. |
Brick
This was a pleasant surprise. The back porch wasn't supposed to have this brick trim on it, but it looks great. Nice detail. |
Soffits
Wasn't too muddy on this side of the house so I took this picture of the second floor soffits and the back garage rake. |
Back of House
I walked all the way around the lot so I could see all the back finished soffits. House looks pretty impressive sitting on the hill like that. |
