Soffits
They finished off the soffits on the first floor today. This is the back of the master suite. There was only one section where they got a little sloppy and dented it. Builder is going to have them replace that section. |

Soffits
They have now started on the second floor soffits. They just have to do around the back of the second floor and they are done. |

Interior Windows
The framing guy redid the windows in the guest bedroom, making them much bigger like we wanted. He also lowered the tops to be even with the door. It looks better that way. He didn't get to putting in the openings in bedroom 4. |

Interior Windows
The windows as seen from down in the great room. |

Guest Bath Door
The other guest bath door has been moved so it is even with the one they had to move for the plumbing. Looks much better than way. Now hopefully the cabinets will fit! |

Electrical
Today the electricians worked on some more fixes like moving wire to make room for the interior windows. They also pulled the wire in the library and some of the outside wire. |
Electrical
They put in the ceiling boxes for the fans waaaaaaay up in the great room ceiling. I marked them with arrows so you can see them. I couldn't get any closer! |

Electrical
This is where the electrical panel will go in the garage. We will have two 200 amp panels. There will also be a 100 amp sub panel in the basement. |

Electrical
These wires go to a low-voltage transformer for outdoor ground lights. The lights will be installed by us at a later time. |
Electrical
This one will be power for the monuments at the end of the driveway. There will also be a post light. Its power will probably come out of this same opening eventually. |

Foyer
This picture didn't turn out as well as I had hoped. They have one of the windows in the foyer installed and the front door is in. There is a much better picture of the front door later. The arched window for the foyer is the only one we are still waiting on. Though all the other are not installed yet, they are on site. |

Windows
These are the garage windows. They will be mulled together and probably be installed Monday. The Masons really want them installed so they can work more on the garage. |
Brick
They fixed the soldier course in the back (marked with arrows). They look much better now. They cut all the bricks down a little so they are the same size rather two or three whole ones and an odd little sliver of a brick (see picture from previous day). |
Brick
They are done with the west wall. I would have preferred that the soldier course didn't touch the top of the round windows, but not much we could do. I didn't want to cut the soldier course down short. It would look funny and not match the rest of the house. I can live with how it turned out. |
Brick
They are also done with the front of the master suite. We love the way this turned out with the keystone and (fake) vent. It will look really great when the shutters are on. |
Brick
They are working on the front of the main house now. Porch is done so the builder can get the concrete floor poured. Then they can put the steel columns up and lay the brick around them. |
Front Door
Here is a good shot of the front door. It looks like wood but it is actually fiberglass. It will be finished to look like wood too. It will be a light walnut color. |

Shingles
The shingles have all been lifted to the roof. Roofers are supposed to start on Monday. |
Shingles
Lots of shingles! At some point I am going to have to calculate just how many square feet of roof we have. |
