Plumbing

Major copper is starting to go in now. If I do say so myself, I did a reasonable job on the plan grouping the rooms with water together. This bit of plumbing pretty much covers the kitchen, powder room and guest bath. Then the there's the laundry room which is not too far away and the master bath and basement bath. Not too bad for the size of the house.

Plumbing

The line for the refrigerator. In case we want and ice maker.

Plumbing

This part leads over to the guest bath shower. This is from the first floor looking up into the joists.

Plumbing

We have the beginings of fixtures in the shower.

Plumbing

The sill cocks have been positioned. But they are just one foot sections stuck in the walls right now. This is the one in the garage. There are four all together. One for each side of the house.

Electrical

Can you tell the electrician is back and starting to pull wire?

Electrical

I am not even going to try and follow all the wires yet, but we will eventually to make sure everything is correct. We will also map it so once the walls are closed up we will know what is on each circuit.

They basically have the upstairs done and have just started on the first floor.

Side Porch Ceiling

The ceiling for the side porch is the same stuff as the soffits. It looks good.

Brick

The brick on the back of the house is done. We are going to have them change the soldier course at the top of the two center columns. We don't like those little thin pieces of brick. I would rather the side ones be widened so only fill bricks are standing up.

Brick

Brick Pockets

They put in brick pockets on the sides of the upper main part of the house so apparently those areas will be brick. We thought they would be siding. Of course we like the brick better!

Brick

They seem to be laying the bricks at about the same height all around the house. You can also see that they continue to make progress on the facia and soffit work.

Brick

I didn't remember that there was supposed to be brick on this little wall in the back, but sure enough when I looked at the plan, there it is!

Keystones

These are our keystones for the front of the house. There are two smaller ones on the bottom for the garage and master bath windows. The big one on top is for the arch over the front porch. There are also four blocks for the garage window trim. Two are here and two are out front with the bricks.

Brick

I happen to notice this little stack of bricks that have a slot down the front. I don't know what they are for.

Down spouts

The masons did us a wonderful favor. Before they back-filled this side of the house, they laid corragated pipe so the down spouts will run into the ground and out into the ravine.
